- To celebrate Ascension Day, we will have chapel on Thursday, May 9, instead of Wednesday next week. Zion will host an Ascension Day service and ice cream social that evening.
- Spring picture proofs are included in Friday folders today. Online and paper orders are due by Thursday, May 9. Please return the picture proof, regardless of whether you plan to order.
- Yo-yos will be for sale near the office each morning before school until Thursday, May 9.
- If your child participated in the "Read to Succeed" program, a Six Flags ticket was included in today's Friday folder.
- Please consider previewing our "Family Education" book. You can stop by our classroom before or after school, and I'll loan you a copy. (Also, only return the consent form if you do not want your child to participate in the final discussion.)
- Third grade "Littles" projects are on display in the hallway outside our classrooms. There are a lot of creative details to see!
- Third graders will enjoy a field day on Thursday, May 23. We'd love to have one parent from each class help with activities from 12:45-2:45 p.m.

The N.E.D. show visited Zion on Thursday morning. This assembly was full of entertainment and encouragement for students to become champions in their attitudes and how they treat others. Our classmate, Rhett, even got to participate!
