Information
- Our class will be collecting items for the St. Louis Crisis Nursery until Friday, December 20. (Instead of exchanging gifts among classmates, Zion students participate in a Christmas service project each year.) 

- The second quarter ends on Friday, December 20. Please encourage your child to turn in any missing work by then.


  Repeats
- Save the date: Our 3rd and 4th grade Advent service will be on Wednesday, December 11 at 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Students should meet in the church basement at 6:40 p.m.

Religion
Jesus taught about God's love and proved He was the promised Messiah. He reconciles us to our Heavenly Father by His death and resurrection. Jesus reigns over all things, protecting His church until His return. He is our prophet, priest, and king.

Spelling
Spelling Pattern:
"ai" (like mail),
"ar" (like smart),
"-y" (like fly)

Challenge: football, woodpile, grateful, before, instead.

Grammar
We focus on present tense verbs, which tell what happens now.

Math
We will focus on 3 and 4-digit numbers, elapsed time, missing addends, "Subtracting 3 and 4" facts, and "Difference of 3 and 4" facts. Our next test will be on Thursday, December 12.

Social Studies
In Chapter 5, we will continue brainstorming how holidays and traditions make a community diverse.
