- The Scholastic Book Fair is here! It will be open before and after church services this weekend. Our class will visit the book fair on Monday, March 10. Students may purchase books at that time or just browse the selection. Students will also have an opportunity to take their grandparents on Friday. We have a designated time, but they are welcome to stop by before school starts to avoid the crowd.
- Please make sure your child's church and Sunday school attendance sheet is current for the third quarter.
- We are running low on tissues. Please consider sending in a box to share with the class, or including some tissues in your child's backpack for personal use.
Repeats
- The third quarter will end on Friday, March 14. Any missing work should be turned in by then.
- As we journey through Lent, you are invited to worship at Zion at 3:30 or 7:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Spelling
Spelling Pattern:
plural nouns (-ys like "keys," -ies like "berries," and -ves like "scarves")
Challenge: autograph, cycle, natural, vision, sense
Grammar
We will focus on possessive pronouns which show that someone owns something. ("His hat," instead of "Tim's hat")
Math
We will focus on 5-digit numbers, multiplying by 100 and 1,000, expanded form, "Dividing by 3 and 4" facts, and perpendicular lines. Our next test will be on Thursday, March 13.
Science
We will review for our Chapter 11 test, which will be on Wednesday, March 12.
