- February reading calendars are due next week for a grade, and March calendars were included in Friday folders today.
- Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lenten season. Students will receive the imposition of ashes at chapel on Wednesday, March 5. You are invited to worship at Zion at 3:30 or 7 p.m. on Wednesdays during Lent.
- The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Zion from March 8-14.
- The third quarter will end on Friday, March 14. Any missing work should be turned in by then.

Spelling
Spelling Pattern:
plural nouns (ending in -s, or -es) like "papers," and "boxes."
Challenge: centimeter, grateful, listen, nothing, yourself.
Grammar
We will focus on subject pronouns which are in the subject of the sentence (I, you, he, she, it, we) and object pronouns which are found after the action (me, you, him, her, it, us, them).
Math
We will focus on "Multiplying by 4" facts, measuring in quarter inches, identifying parallel lines, solving missing addends, and making change from $1. Our next test will be on Wednesday, March 5.
Science
We will be studying mixtures and exploring magnetism as we continue learning about matter.
