News and Classwork

Information
- October Reading Calendars are included in today's Friday folder. Students are expected to read an average of 10 minutes per night for a total of 310 minutes this month. At the end of the month, the calendar should be returned for a required reading grade.

- A link to request a block of time for parent-teacher conferences was sent out yesterday. Please respond with your preferred timeframe.

- As the weather gets cooler, please review our dress code policy. Mr. Marolf has been reminding students that their shirts should be tucked in during the school day. (I've noticed that some students may need a lesson on how to comfortably tuck in their shirts.)

- Please fill out the online Parent Survey by October 11 to help with Zion's accreditation process.

  Repeats
- 3rd grade will participate in the "Who's for Lunch" program and a nature hike at Busch Wildlife on Thursday, October 3 from 9:30-12:30. (Students may wear jeans, their Zion t-shirt, and appropriate shoes for "hiking." They should bring a cold lunch to be eaten when we return.)

- Mark your calendars! Trunk or Treat is scheduled for Friday, October 11.

- Please consider attending or volunteering at Zion's "5K/1K Bobcat Shuffle," on Saturday, October 19.

- Students received a pass for free admission to any Lutheran High "Future Cougar" fall sporting event.
