- Mrs. Heather Link will be visiting on Monday and Tuesday to meet the class and learn more about our routines. She will finish the year for me while I am on maternity leave. - Students received their speaking parts or non-speaking roles for the spring musical. If your child has a speaking part, please help him or her practice speaking clearly and with expression.

Spelling
Spelling Pattern:
homophones (words that sound alike, like deer and dear)
Challenge: nothing, early, group, heard, teacher.
Grammar
We will focus on pronouns which take the place of one or more nouns ("She" instead of "Sally").
Math
We will focus on "Multiplying by 3" facts, subtracting money amounts, time to the quarter hour, and mixed numbers. Our next test will be on Tuesday, February 25.
Science
We will be studying the phases of matter- solid, liquid, and gas- as well as how matter changes.
Social Studies
We will finish learning about supply and demand and prepare for our test on Friday, February 28.
